Chelsea teenager Lucas Piazon has joined Malaga on loan until the end of the season.

The Brazilian 18-year-old has played just three games for the Blues since joining from Sao Paulo a year ago, making two appearances in the Capital One Cup and a solitary start in the Premier League.

"We have an agreement with Malaga for Lucas Piazon to go on loan there until the end of the season," Blues boss Rafa Benitez said.

Romelu Lukaku, who was the subject of an approach from Malaga himself at the same stage last season, will remain with West Brom, where he has scored nine goals in 22 games this term.

"Romelu went there as a young player and he's doing well. He's getting experience in the Premier League," Benitez said.

"You never say never because you might have a problem, but at the moment the idea is that he stays there and gains more experience."
