AC Milan are claiming that Manchester City have quoted them €37 million for Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli's future at City is in doubt, as he has struggled for form this season while off-field problems have also put him in the spotlight.

City boss Roberto Mancini has insisted he has no desire to sell Balotelli, but it would appear the club have put a price on his head.

"At the end of Friday, Manchester City were still saying €37m," Milan chief Adriano Galliani is quoted as saying. "At that price, he will stay at Manchester City.

"We will see on Monday."

Balotelli's agent is reported to have been in talks with Milan, while the Italy forward was an unused substitute in City's win over Fulham on Saturday.

Milan are also in the market for Kaka and Galliani has called on the player to revise his demands.

"Everyone must make a great effort - AC Milan, Real Madrid and Kaka," he told Gazzeta dello Sport. "Much depends on (the player's) economic sacrifice.

"I have up days and down days. At the moment it is down because I look at the taxation - that kills. In Italy, no player earns more than €5million, net."
