Crystal Palace have denied that a deal has been struck with Manchester United for the signature of in-demand Wilfried Zaha.

Zaha, 20, has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League, with the likes of United and Arsenal reportedly wanting to sign the England international.

Last week, Red Devils chief executive David Gill admitted the club's interest in the winger, while Gunners manager Arsene Wenger also spoke of his admiration for the player.

Newspaper reports on Monday claimed that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had held talks with Zaha in London on Sunday over a possible deal worth up to £15 million.

However, Palace have since told Sky Sports that they have not given Zaha permission to talk with the Premier League leaders and no deal has yet been agreed.

The Eagles have previously insisted that any deal for Zaha would have to include the player returning to Selhurst Park on loan for the rest of the season.
