Rafa Benitez has insisted that Chelsea are "doing quite well" and that performances have been good, despite a series of poor results.

The Blues squandered a two-goal lead late on against Reading on Wednesday night, meaning they have now gone three games without a win in all competitions. Benitez, however, has defended the team's run and believes Chelsea "could have won all" of the matches.

"I think if you look at the games we didn't win, we could have won all of them," Benitez said. "The team is doing quite well. I felt that the performance of the team has been good. In all of the games, we had chances to win. I am quite confident, with players coming back.

"David Luiz and [Eden] Hazard will be available after this game. We have more players, more options. Hopefully, we can keep winning games."

On the 2-2 draw with Reading, he added: "The kind of goal we conceded was in the last minute. For 93 minutes we were in control then one long ball. We made two or three mistakes.

"We have been talking about that. We have to move forward. Hopefully can do better next time."
