Lampard unsure of next move

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has admitted he is in the dark as to his club future.

Lampard is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues opting to let his contract wind down. He will be a free agent in the summer, but he proved on Wednesday he is no back number by netting a stunning winning goal for England in their friendly with Brazil.

The midfielder is just six appearances away from a century of England caps and he has been urged by manager Roy Hodgson to remain in Europe in order to keep himself in the international mix.

Lampard says his next move will not be tailored to international football, as he has no intention of retiring and will remain available for selection wherever he may play.

When asked if the prospect of reaching 100 caps will sway him on his club future, he told Sky Sports News: "No, because I won't retire.

"Wherever I go, whatever happens in my career - and I don't honestly know - if I can play at a great level of football and play at my best I will just see what happens.

"If I don't get to 100 caps I have given everything in every game I have played.

"When you get older you realise even more what it is to play for your country; that it won't go on for ever.

"Every time I am in and around the squad I will give my all, whether it is starting or on the bench. I have got a lot of respect for the manager and I think he respects that I want to help in any way that I can."
