Great Britain are through to the Fed Cup World Group II play-offs after victory over Bulgaria on Sunday.

As had been the case throughout the week's Europe/Africa Group I matches, Laura Robson and Heather Watson once again did the business for Judy Murray's side - winning both their singles matches to give Great Britain an unassailable 2-0 advantage.

The pair will now return to represent their country in April, where a victory against their as-yet unknown opponents will see them elevated into the second tier of the competition for 2014.

The draw for the round will be made on Wednesday - a home contest for Great Britain would be their first since 1993.

Robson set the tone for the impressive victory on Sunday, as she demolished the unheralded Dia Evtimova 6-0 6-4 despite concerns for her fitness, after her Saturday singles success was overshadowed somewhat by concerns over a troublesome shoulder injury.

That left Watson, the British No. 1, knowing a victory over the well-matched Tsvetana Pironkova would secure a place in the April play-off. But Watson did not start well, taking the first game of the match before dropping the next seven in succession.

A second set break seemed to steady Watson's nerves, however, as she went on to edge that stanza to set up the decider. Victory in the first four games of that third set provided a welcome platform for victory, as Watson eventually sealed a 1-6 6-4 6-2 triumph that sparked wild celebrations among the close-knit British squad.
