Ribery says beating Arsenal was easy

Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery has expressed his shock at the ease of his side's victory over Arsenal in their Champions League clash on Tuesday.

Ribery and his team-mates cruised to a 3-1 away win at the Emirates this week, setting the Bundesliga outfit up for the second leg at Allianz Arena on March 13. The France international, though, did not think victory would come so easily away from home.

"We didn't think it would be so easy," Ribery is quoted as saying in the Sun."We know Arsenal are having some problems in the league, maybe they are lacking in confidence.

"But we feel good and we're delighted to have got that result. We're all working hard together, with the will to play well, to win, to defend together. It's important to carry on like this.

"We will have to match that performance in the return leg. We're in good shape to reach the quarter-finals but nothing is ever over in football."
