Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben is unsure if Arsenal will be able to keep hold of Jack Wilshere if they continue to struggle for silverware.

The Gunners have not won a trophy since they beat Manchester United on penalties in the 2005 FA Cup final, and this campaign their domestic bid to end that drought is over after FA Cup and League Cup exits.

They are also all but out of the Champions League after Robben's side Bayern recorded a 3-1 victory on Tuesday at Emirates Stadium, much to the frustration of Wilshere and his team-mates.

Wilshere, 21, only recently signed a new long-term contract at Arsenal, but Robben is uncertain if the gifted midfielder will remain in North London if the Gunners' struggles continue.

The Dutchman is quoted in the Star on Sunday as saying: "I don't know if Arsenal can keep him if they are not winning things. It's always difficult to judge that about another player.

"But you can see that Wilshere is a very big talent and he is only young still, he's just 21 years old. He will definitely be a big player."
