Gareth Bale won't face Bacary Sagna

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed Abou Diaby is rated as 50:50 for the North London derby with Tottenham on Sunday.

The Gunners are looking to cut the gap on Spurs, which currently stands at four points, as they battle to secure a place in next season's Champions League.

Wenger will want his charges to win the midfield battle ground at White Hart Lane, but they may have to do it without Diaby who is still struggling with a calf problem.

"Abou is an uncertainty," Wenger said. "He has a calf problem, a minor one. It is a question of days. He will have tests and then we will see if we can use him on Sunday or not. It is a 50:50. Actually maybe a bit more for him playing."

Wenger also confirmed he will be without full backs Bacary Sagna and Kieran Gibbs.

"He is not ready for Sunday," Wenger said of Sagna. "It is too short for him. Kieran is not back. That was as we expected."
