Press Pass: Brilliant Bale or sensational Suarez?

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp believes Gareth Bale will not look to seal a big money move away from White Hart Lane this summer, describing him as "a dream" to manage.

Bale, 23, was struggling to make his mark at Spurs until Redknapp became his manager in October 2008, with the sparkling form now being displayed by the Welshman in stark contrast to the nervous performances he was producing in his first few months at the club.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are among those being linked with a £50 million move for Bale this summer, but Redknapp is convinced his former protege will stay loyal to the Tottenham cause.

"I'm absolutely sure Spurs is the best club for him and that he will stay," Redknapp said, according to the Sun. "He loves life at Spurs and with the club looking at another Champions League campaign next term why would he leave? I don't think that will happen.

"The boy is a dream to manage and he has been fantastic this season. He's almost unplayable when he's on his game."

Bale has scored 11 goals in his last nine games as Tottenham close in on a top-four finish in the Premier League, with Europa League glory also on the cards after their 3-0 win against Inter Milan on Thursday night.

The winger will be looking to score in his sixth successive league game when Spurs travel to Liverpool on Sunday, with Andre Villas-Boas' side hoping to open up a five-point gap over Chelsea in the race for third spot in the league.
