Liverpool expect Reina return at Southampton
Pepe Reina is on course to make Liverpool's Premier League trip to Southampton on Saturday as he recovers from a calf injury.
The 30-year-old keeper suffered the problem in training, and was forced to miss Sunday's 3-2 Premier League win over Tottenham.
His absence gave Brad Jones the chance to make his first appearance since the 3-2 FA Cup defeat at Oldham on January 27.
Reina made a string of impressive saves as Liverpool won 4-0 at Wigan eight days ago, and manager Brendan Rodgers is hopeful that the Spain international will make a quick recovery.
Rodgers said: "It was disappointing because we thought he would probably make it against Tottenham.
"He had a tight calf in a fitness test on Sunday morning and unfortunately for him he didn't come through it. So I hope by next week he'll be fine.
"Big credit to Brad Jones, who came in at the last minute. He equipped himself terrifically. We'll see how Pepe is next week."
