Cavani scored twice against Atalanta

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is only willing to listen to offers for star striker Edinson Cavani "if some nutter is willing to pay £60 million".

Cavani, 26, has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe after scoring 29 goals in 35 games for his Serie A employers this season.

The Uruguay international has been linked with Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, but De Laurentiis has warned any potential suitors that Cavani will not come cheaply.

"We included a very high buy-out clause in his contract as we want him to stay," he is quoted as saying in The Sun.

"But if some nutter is willing to pay £60 million, which would mean a net fee of £54 million for Napoli, we are ready to listen to the offer.

"Let it be clear that the final decision lies with Edinson. He knows he's respected here and that the people love him."
