Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has been handed a one-match ban for making an obscene gesture to Leeds fans.

Zaha, who will join Manchester United in the summer, was pictured sticking a finger up at Leeds supporters in the match on March 9 and will now miss his team's home game against Birmingham City. He has also been fined £3,000 by the Football Association.

He apologised afterwards on Twitter saying: "I wanted to apologise for the gesture I did towards the Leeds fans in yesterday's game. Very unprofessional from me.''

Palace are currently fourth in the Championship, three points behind Hull City in second place and have a six-point cushion to Brighton & Hove Albion for a play-off berth.
