Edinson Cavani could remain at Napoli next season despite attracting interest from around Europe, according to the player's agent.

It has been widely reported that Cavani, 26, is set for a big-money move in the summer, with the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea believed to be possible destinations.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has slapped a £60 million price tag on the Uruguay international in the hope of keeping him, and agent Gennaro Famigliett believes the affection that the striker holds for the club could also help prevent a move.

"Cavani loves the club and the city," he said in the Daily Mirror. "We have already said that he is ready to stay if the squad can become stronger and new signings can arrive.

"Few clubs can pay the price for Cavani and this will determine his future. There is no agreement with anybody. The player is ambitious and wants to win titles with Napoli."

Despite the constant speculation surrounding him, Cavani insists that while he is under contract at the Naples club he will always give his all.

"I have always had a smile on my face. On the pitch, I'll always do what I must do and I'll always give my best to show I'm a true professional," he said.
