Reported Arsenal target Alexis Sanchez has insisted he has no desire to move on from Barcelona.

Sanchez has not always been the favourite of Camp Nou fans since his €35 million move from Udinese in summer 2011, and speculation has linked him with a move.

Arsenal have been credited with an interest in recent days, while the Catalan media have suggested he could be on his way back to Serie A - with Inter Milan and Juventus said to be keeping an eye on developments.

Sanchez is aware of the speculation, but the Chilean is eager to fight for his place at Barcelona.

"I am very happy at Barcelona," Sanchez said. "I know the player I am, I know I am a great player, I know I can win games for you. I feel important with the national team and also with Barcelona."

A mediocre goalscoring record for the Blaugrana - just five goals in 34 appearances in all competitions this season - has led some in Catalonia to say he is not really Barcelona-class, with some spectacular misses bringing whistles from supporters inside the Camp Nou in recent weeks.

'Kid Marvel' said any critics should understand that there was a lot more to his game than just goalscoring.

"I am not a player who will score three or five goals per game," he said. "I give passes, and also score sometimes. I am not really a penalty box goalscorer, but I know I am still one of the best players in the world."
