Wenger: Theo not complacent

Arsenal striker Theo Walcott will rediscover his scoring touch, after going two months without a goal, according to his manager Arsene Wenger.

Walcott, 24, penned a contract worth in the region of £100,000-a-week to commit his future to the club in January, but has not scored since the 2-2 draw with Liverpool on January 30.

Some reports have suggested that Walcott, who has scored 18 times in all competitions, has become complacent after signing his new deal, but Wenger dismissed the notion out of hand.

"I don't believe that. If he didn't play well and had not signed a contract, then people would say the opposite," he said. "I don't think that is linked, especially with the fact that he has signed a contract or not. Because you can say as well he is more secure, he can express himself.

"At Bayern he didn't have the greatest game, but he still brought the goal. He will come back."

Walcott is currently out with a groin injury picked up late on in the 2-0 win over Swansea in March.
