Frank Lampard's absence from Chelsea's photo-shoot for next season's new kit was not down to the fact that his contract is set to expire in the summer, according to the player's agent.

As part of an advertising campaign for the Blues' new Adidas strip, the team's marquee players are to be shown covered in blue paint.

Agent Steve Kutner, however, has denied speculation that Lampard, a long-term Adidas client, was missing due to issues with his contract.

Kutner, who admits to having no knowledge of the event, says his client was unavailable because of family commitments with his daughters on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

"I wouldn't have allowed Frank to take part in any case," Kutner told the Daily Mail. "Covering him in paint would have been demeaning."

Lampard, who joined Chelsea in 2001, looks set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, having yet to be offered a contract extension by the club.
