Arsenal youngster agrees Nurnberg move

FC Nurnberg have announced that Arsenal defender Martin Angha will join the Bundesliga side in the summer.

Angha, 19, has made two appearances for Arsenal's first team, making his debut in September's 6-1 Capital One Cup win over Coventry before featuring the in 2-1 Champions League loss against Olympiakos in December.

"It was about finding a club where I can constantly win minutes in the first team and develop further," Angha told Swiss news portal 20min.ch. "I am looking forward to the Bundesliga."

The Swiss added on Nurnberg's website: "I had a good time in London and thank Arsenal for everything. Now I am looking forward to the challenge in Nurnberg."

Nurnberg have garnered a reputation for being a positive destination for young players, with the likes of Leverkusen's Philipp Wollscheid and Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan developing at the club.

"Angha has shown his potential at Arsenal and should make the next step here," Nurnberg general manager Martin Bader said. "We are delighted to have signed an interesting young player like Martin Angha."
