Van Persie savours title experience

Manchester United's striker Robin van Persie was basking in the glory of a maiden Premier League title after his hat-trick sealed the club's 20th championship crown.
Van Persie bagged a treble as United brushed aside Aston Villa 3-0 and the Dutchman was understandably delighted to claim his first winners' medal having fallen short with former club Arsenal.
"It didn't really matter who scored as long as we won this game and we did win this game,'' Van Persie told Sky Sports 1. "From the first minute everyone played well and everyone wanted it. It was a great to score so early and it was a fantastic game of football.
"I'm very happy but it's weird. I had to wait for so long for my first title and it's a great feeling.''
United are expected to receive a guard of honour at Emirates Stadium when they face Arsenal in their next game this weekend, with Van Persie returning to his old stomping ground as a Premier League champion.
Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand wasted little time tweeting his reaction to United's title triumph, with the centre-back posting a series of photos from the Old Trafford dressing-room.
