Lennon primed for Spurs run-in
Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon is being primed for the club's run-in and could return to Andre Villas-Boas' starting line-up to face Wigan this weekend.
Lennon, 26, was forced off the pitch with a knee injury during Spurs' Europa League quarter-final first leg draw against FC Basel three weeks ago and has not featured since.
It had been thought the England international could have made his return against Manchester City last Sunday, but he failed a fitness test.
Spurs ran out 3-1 winners at White Hart Lane to keep their hopes of Champions League qualification alive and Lennon's comeback would be a major boost for the final four Premier League games.
Having already successfully welcomed back Gareth Bale and Jermain Defoe, Spurs are also hopeful that long-time injury absentee Younes Kaboul will return before the end of the season.
Spurs are currently fifth in the table, a point behind fourth-placed Chelsea and two points behind third-placed Arsenal, but with a game in hand on their North London rivals.
