Robert Lewandowski's agent has stated his client is interested in playing in the Premier League, but says a move to Manchester United this summer is unlikely.

Lewandowski, who has a year remaining on his contract with Borussia Dortmund, has won plenty of admirers with his performances this season, leading to speculation of a big-money away from the Westfalenstadion in the summer.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson hinted at making a move for the striker on Saturday, but agent Malik Barthel says any potential transfer will have to be put on hold for at least another year.

He was quoted as saying in the Guardian: "I can tell you only one thing - Robert is interested in the future coming to the Premier League. The Premier League is very interesting for Robert. How long is the future, I cannot say to you. I think this summer is not the future."

Lewandowski's Dortmund team-mate Mario Gotze will join Bayern Munich in the summer, and reports in Germany last week claimed the Poland international has already agreed to join him.

Bayern denied the report, saying that there is "no contract with Robert Lewandowski", while Dortmund insist their player is not for sale and that they would prefer him to run down his contract.

Barthel, though, refused to give anything away when asked if Lewandowski would sign for Bayern.

"I don't know," he said.

Meanwhile, Patrick Owomoyela, 33, has said he expects to leave Dortmund when his contract expires at the end of the season.

He told the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper: "At the moment, it looks like the club is no longer planning with me, but it is fair enough that they don't go out of their way for a player who has been out injured for a year and is now 33.'
