Suarez plans future at Liverpool

Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has quashed speculation linking him with a move away from the club by confirming his future remains at Anfield.

The Uruguay international will be missing when Liverpool host Merseyside rivals Everton on Sunday, the 26-year-old serving a 10-game ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

And with that ban not due to be completed until the seventh round of next season, rumours have quickly spread that Suarez may move on in the summer.

But Suarez has denied the speculation and re-committed his abilities to the Liverpool cause, even admitting he was in "pain" to be forced to sit out Sunday's derby clash.

"I have a deal with Liverpool and this is my present - and future," Suarez was quoted as saying in a report by the Sun.

"From the day I arrived, I saw how special this derby is, so it is a pain to miss it. But we have a big squad which can function without me."
