Agger denies retirement talk
Daniel Agger has insisted quotes attributed to him talking about retirement have been taken out of context.
The Denmark international has been an indispensable figure at the back for Reds this season, making 39 appearances under manager Brendan Rodgers. But that has not always been the case for the 28-year-old as injury after injury kept Agger restricted to the club's treatment table.
And in an interview with Danish newspaper BT, Agger was quoted as saying: "I do not have a long time left [in my career].
"I have considered ending my career some times. I have had some serious injuries, and at times I have considered retiring.
"But right now I am fine."
In response to these quotes swirling around in the media, Agger took to Twitter to say: "The quotes about my retirement is all wrong!! (Been taken out of a context) Hope that answer all the questions?:))"
