Arjen Robben has dismissed claims he is ready to leave Bayern Munich, with speculation mounting over a summer bid from Manchester City.

The 29-year-old Dutchman has started just ten league games for Bayern this season as the club stormed to the Bundesliga title with a record points tally - a situation that City are reportedly keeping a close eye on.

And with Pep Guardiola due to revamp the squad on his imminent arrival at the Allianz Arena, starting with the signing of Mario Gotze from fellow Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund, further doubt has been cast over what kind of role Robben will have to play next season.

But the former Chelsea and Real Madrid winger is confident there will still be enough room for him to make an impact.

He said: "I still have two years on my contract. Why should I go? I have shown in the last games that I can play my part at Bayern. That is the most important thing for me."

Robben played a more prominent role for Bayern in the Champions League, starting six games and scoring home and away during the crushing 7-0 semi-final aggregate victory over Barcelona.

However, as he prepares for his third Champions League final with the club in four years he is desperate to finally lift the trophy having been part of the side which lost to Inter Milan in 2010 and to Chelsea last year.

"The spice is there in the final," Robben said. "I like spice. There is a lot at stake for both sides, which makes it fun, right? But seriously, it's high time we won the thing. If you have lost three times, then you have the stamp of a loser and not without justification - but no one wants that.

"It is nice to play in a final. But now we also have to win one. Last year was a huge disappointment. Now we have improved again."
