Heynckes 'has had offers from abroad'
Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has revealed he has been contacted about job opportunitites away from the Bundesliga, though he has been tipped to retire at the end of the season.
Heynckes, 68, dropped hints of his possible retirement during a press-conference on Tuesday, when stating that he will not take over another Bundesliga club next season and claiming he was too old to take over a club outside of Germany.
"I am getting a bit long in the tooth and the clubs want to enforce a new generation. You can't do that with a 68-year old," Heynckes said. However, speaking to kicker magazine on Wednesday, Heynckes revealed several clubs still hoped to lure him into another contract.
"I certainly have offers from abroad," Heynckes said. "[But] I am entirely focused on Bayern right now."
Heynckes has been linked with Monaco, former club Real Madrid and an as yet unnamed Russian club, though he insists that no official decision will be made regarding his future until after the DFB-Pokal final against Stuttgart on June 1.
Bayern Munich will take on Heynckes' first Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach in their last game of a record breaking Bundesliga campaign, with the veteran German saying: "That's like in a good script."
