Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has talked up a potential move to Ligue 1 with either Monaco or Paris Saint-Germain.

Tevez, 29, has one year left to run on his current deal at City and they may opt to cash in on him this summer rather than lose him on a free transfer the following year.

With uncertainty over the direction of City, who are without a manager after the sacking of Roberto Mancini on Monday, Tevez was asked if he would entertain the idea of a move to Monaco by French television station Telefoot.

He said: "For me, Monaco is one of the largest French clubs, and any player would go there.

"I have a one-year contract left at City and I am happy, and I love playing in the Premier League - but a project like Monaco I really like.

"I know [Claudio] Ranieri [Monaco coach] and he has proven he is a great coach so for me this would be great."

Tevez also revealed he had previously held talks with PSG and would be interested in a move to the French capital if they were to revive their interest.

"There was interest from PSG for me, and we talked with Leonardo, but we could not reach an agreement," he added.

"But it remains an interesting option as the French championship is moving very fast. If Leonardo called me, it's not a problem for me to come, really no problem to come to Paris and France."
