Boateng announces Fulham move
Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng has announced that he has signed for Fulham.
Boateng, who has been with Ukrainian Premier side Dnipro since 2011, had come close to signing for Fulham in January but contractual issues prevented the deal being completed.
The 30-year-old had recently been training with Olympiakos, and was reportedly close to signing for the Greek club, but the player took to his Twitter account on Tuesday to announce that he has agreed a switch to Craven Cottage.
I have signed a two-year deal with Fulham FC! I'm happy to see this deal confirmed! Thanks God, my family and everyone who support me! — Derek Boateng (@BoatengDerek) May 22, 2013
Boateng also tweeted a picture of himself holding a Fulham shirt and added: "I'm finally happy!"
Fulham have yet to confirm the deal.
