Sergio Aguero insists he is happy at Manchester City amid reports he is set to leave the club.

Aguero, 24, has been linked with Real Madrid, but City hit back at such claims this week by insisting they will not entertain offers for the Argentina international.

The player himself has also cooled transfer talk, saying: "There are always rumours in the summer. But I am very happy at City. I'm going to work hard and everything else is just rumours.

"Every player wants to play in big teams that win titles. We didn't win anything last season but we have won trophies in the last few years so there is no reason to go."

City will be under pressure to mount a title challenge next season after relinquishing their crown to bitter rivals Manchester United.

On Friday, chief executive Ferran Soriano announced plans to secure five trophies in the space of five years, therefore increasing the pressure on Roberto Mancini's successor.
