Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Jose Mourinho is the standout candidate for the Chelsea manager's position, and believes his "unfinished business" at Stamford Bridge could drive the club to greater glories in his anticipated second spell in charge.

The former Chelsea and Netherlands striker, who was installed as manager of Belgian second-tier side Royal Antwerp on Wednesday, was released in the summer of 2004 shortly after Mourinho arrived from Porto.

But while the two-time Premier League golden boot winner believes that careers should always move on rather than return to former haunts, he is willing to make an exception in the outgoing Real Madrid manager's case.

"I think it's a good thing," Hasselbaink told Sky Sports News when asked about Mourinho's anticipated return. "He has still got unfinished business.

"Normally I would say don't go back where you have been really great, but he still has unfinished business.

"I don't see a better man to fill that position at this moment in time."
