David de Gea has said he dreams of a return to Atletico Madrid - but only far into the future because he is happy at Manchester United.

The Spain goalkeeper came through the ranks at Atletico before joining United for £18 million in 2011. But he has maintained an interest in his former club and was delighted to see them defeat Real Madrid to win the Copa del Rey.

"To win at Madrid's Bernabeu in a final, I cannot ask for anything more because they also have qualified for the Champions League and have had a great season," De Gea told AS. "Hopefully in the future I can return, you never know. It has been and will always be my home."

De Gea is looking forward to playing under David Moyes when United's new manager takes over from the retired Sir Alex Ferguson but said he does not expect wholesale change at Old Trafford.

He added: "Obviously there will be a change, he was the coach for many years, many titles and many joys. Now comes a new coach I think it will continue in the same line of Sir Alex and dynamics will be similar.

"Playing for United, one of the greatest clubs in the world, is always a source of pride to me. Every time I pull the shirt on, I'm pulling on the history of this club."
