David Villa insists he is "very happy in Barcelona" and refused to comment on speculation he could leave Spain in the summer.

Rumours in the Spanish media on the weekend suggested Villa has agreed to join Arsenal ahead of next season, with Tottenham and Liverpool believed to no longer be in the running for the 31-year-old's signature.

But Villa, who will travel to the United States for Spain's friendlies against Haiti and Republic of Ireland before the Confederations Cup in Brazil, revealed he will not make a decision on his future until his international duties are complete.

"I have a contract and I have always said that I'm very happy at Barcelona," Villa said. "Throughout my career I have always been respectful of my current club. Right now I'm just thinking about doing a good job in Brazil and then we will see.

"We will have to analyse many things during the summer, but as of right now I'm not thinking of anything else other than playing football for Spain."
