Utd target Marchisio not interested in leaving Juve
Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has ruled out leaving the Serie A holders in the summer, despite recent interest from Manchester United.
Marchisio, 27, has been linked with the Premier League champions in recent weeks, as new manager David Moyes looks to strengthen his midfield options. Wealthy French side Monaco are also rumoured to be interested in the Italy international.
Marchisio, however, is not interested in leaving his boyhood club.
"I want to stay at Juventus," Marchisio told Tuttosport. "I would like to continue battling for and winning with the club in which I grew up in."
Juventus are also not interested in selling the player, despite the financial rewards they would likely receive for such a player. Monaco recently paid over £50 million for Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, part of a multi-million pound spending spree as the principality side prepare for life back in France's Ligue 1.
"Our goal is not to sell but to strengthen the team," Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta told Sky Italia. "Marchisio has Juventus DNA and the player's will is influential."
