Arsenal and Tottenham have been told they can sign Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue - but only for the right price.

Currently on France's tour of South America, Capoue, 24, has been strongly linked to the North London rivals, as well as Everton, and will likely return to head for England after Toulouse president Olivier Sadran admitted he would not now veto the departure of a player he prevented joining Queen's Park Rangers in January.

"We didn't let Capoue leave this winter for £10 million because we felt that we still needed him," Sadran told the media at an end-of-season press conference. "This time, he'll leave if a club makes us a good offer, but there has not been one for the moment."

To help fill the void left by Capoue, Sadran acknowledged he hoped to keep one-time Manchester City youth academy midfielder Adrien Rabiot, 18, who joined Toulouse on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in January. He also warned clubs off last season's top scorer, Wissam ben Yedder, after the 22-year-old forward recently suggested his future was unclear.

"He'll stay with Toulouse unless a madman comes along with a sum that we could live off for ten years. But there's no chance of that happening, so he'll stay."
