Borussia Dortmund president Reinhard Rauball has told SID that the club is still awaiting an offer for Poland striker Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski, 24, told Sport Bild this week that he is looking for "a new challenge" and that he expects to soon be able to join the "club of [his] choice".

That club is understood to be Bayern Munich, and both Jupp Heynckes and one of the player's agents have suggested that a move to the Allianz Arena is not far away. The player's contract expires in 2014, and he has resisted several offers to extend that deal.

However, Dortmund have maintained for some time now that no offer has yet arrived and that Lewandowski is not in a position to determine his own future, and Rauball, who is also chief of the German Football League (DFL), has underlined that stance.

"I have not heard about an offer from another club," he said on Thursday. "He is under contract at BVB for the upcoming season, without a release clause, and that is what those responsible for his future have made clear to him several times."
