Luka Modric has admitted he is attracting interest from other clubs, with Chelsea rumoured to be in the frame, but the Croatian midfielder claims he has no desire to leave Real Madrid.

Modric joined Real last summer from Tottenham, but he struggled to hold down a regular place in the side. The departure of Jose Mourinho to Chelsea has cast doubt on Modric's future at the Bernabeu, as it has been claimed the Portuguese wants to take the midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho may well outline his transfer blueprint during his opening Chelsea press conference on Monday, but Modric has no plans to move on.

"I'm not even thinking about the possibility I could leave Madrid this summer, but there is interest from other clubs," Modric is quoted as saying in the Sun.

"Every kid who plays football dreams about playing for Real Madrid. It was the same with me.

"Of course I was sad when Jose Mourinho left. He was the one who insisted on bringing me to Madrid. He is a fantastic coach and I am honoured to have worked with him.

"He really impressed me. It's such a pleasure to play in his team and talk with him about football.

"I wish him all the best in Chelsea. I believe he will use all his knowledge and expertise at Stamford Bridge once again."
