Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has labelled rumours he could be on his way out of the Nou Camp this summer, with Arsenal and Manchester United on his trail, as 'absurd'.

The 26-year-old has only been back at his boyhood club for two years after returning from his stay in London with Arsenal.

But speculation this year has linked the Spain international with a move back to the Premier League - with champions Manchester United said to be jostling with Arsenal to land Fabregas.

However, Fabregas, who said recently that he would only leave if he was told he was not wanted, has again insisted he is 'delighted' to be playing for the Spanish champions.

"I've always said I'm delighted at Barca," he told Marca. "Whoever says I'm leaving doesn't know me and has never talked to me or my agent, because he knows I don't want him to talk with other peolple about me.

"I'm very private and don't talk about those issues, even with my family.

"If anybody says something different than that I want to play for Barcelona, that's absurd"
