Fernando Torres admits he is flattered by rumours that Barcelona are planning a £17 million bid to bring him to the Nou Camp this summer, but he has insisted he is in no rush to leave Stamford Bridge.

Torres finished last season as Chelsea's leading scorer in all competitions and was a key figure in their Europa League triumph, yet questions marks remain over his future at the club following Jose Mourinho's return as manager.

While Mourinho has vowed to do all he can to help Torres get back to his best, the £50m marksman may be nudged down the pecking order if big names strikers arrive to compliment new signing Andre Schurrle, who arrived from Bayer Leverkusen earlier this week.

Napoli's Edinson Cavani and Brazilian forward Hulk have been linked with Chelsea in recent weeks, but Torres seems unconcerned by the rumours.

"It's always nice a club like that is interested, but I want to stay and will talk to Mourinho later," stated Torres when asked by reporters about Barcelona's interest.

"I want to stay at Chelsea. I have contract, I want to be the best at my position and I don't think there is a better place to be. Mourinho has won far more than many of us. It's a new challenge and I am looking forward to it."

Torres's exhaustive season is still continuing, as he is currently in Brazil with the Spain squad preparing for the Confederations Cup.

Vincente Del Bosque's men get their campaign underway against Uruguay on Sunday.
