Barcelona's David Villa has said he will not make any decisions about his future at the club, with Arsenal and Tottenham linked with the striker, until after the Confederations Cup.

Villa, 31, said he would not comment on speculation about his potential plans despite Barca president Sandro Rosell saying earlier this week that he would be staying at the Camp Nou, where he has been since 2010.

The Spain international has found his Barcelona first-team opportunities limited in recent months, and has been linked with a switch to the Premier League. Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has praised the forward in the past, while he is believed to feature on Arsenal's list of targets.

But he told reporters in Brazil, where the Confederations Cup is taking place: "I have a contract and I have always said that I'm very happy at Barcelona.

"Throughout my career, I have always been respectful of my current club. Right now, I'm just thinking about doing a good job in Brazil - and then we will see."

He said he needed to "analyse many things" over the summer" but that he was "not thinking of anything else other than playing football for Spain".
