Paris Saint-Germain are set to announce former England coach Fabio Capello as their new manager according to reports.

And the move would allow current PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti to make the highly-rumoured move to the vacant position at Real Madrid.

Current Russia national team boss Capello has been chosen ahead of Tottenham's Andre Villas-Boas, with the young Portuguese coach rumoured to have resisted the overtures of the French club.

But Capello's rule at the Ligue 1 champions could be short lived, with PSG remaining in the hunt to lure Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger when the Frenchman's contract expires at the end of the season.

Should Capello head to Paris, the door is now open for Ancelotti to join Madrid. The former AC Milan manager has long been linked with the Bernabeu club but, under contract with PSG, has found it difficult to negotiate his way into the Spanish capital.
