Southampton have made a £15 million bid for Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan, according to the Sun.

Having guided the Saints to a 14th-placed finish last term, Mauricio Pochettino is determined to add to his squad over the coming months.

The Argentine has already brought in Lyon defender Dejan Lovren for £8.5 million, while he has reportedly agreed a £10 million fee with Celtic for midfielder Victor Wanyama.

And now Southampton have a made a move for Nainggolan, 25, although they face stiff competition from Serie A side Inter Milan.

"I have received a very tempting offer from Southampton," the Belgium international said.

"Their proposal is the most attractive from an economic standpoint. But I don't play for the money. My priority is to have a major career."

Nainggolan arrived in Italy as a youngster in 2005, signing for Piacenza Calcio, before completing a permanent move to Cagliari in 2010 following a loan spell at the club.
