Laurent Koscielny has underlined his willingness to remain at Arsenal, despite recent reported interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Last week Koscielny's agent indicated his belief that the two European sides were interested in signing the 27-year-old defender, after some impressive performances for the Gunners towards the end of the last season.

The France international, however, has insisted he is happy to honour his current deal at the Emirates Stadium.

"I have a four-year contract," Koscielny told La Montagne. "For now, I am still at Arsenal."

The former Lorient centre-back seemed to acknowledge that continued Champions League participation is a huge incentive to remain with Arsene Wenger's team, and is looking forward to testing himself against the continent's finest sides with the North London club once again.

"The most important thing is that Arsenal is in the Champions League," he said. "It is super exciting to play against the best teams in Europe."

Koscielny believes Arsenal's exit from the competition last season inspired the club's revival, as they finished the season strongly.

He added: "The second leg of the Champions League against Bayern Munich was a trigger for us. In the process, we almost won everything."
