Chelsea's Marin to join Sevilla on-loan

Chelsea have confirmed that Marko Marin will join Spanish side Sevilla on a season-long loan, subject to the completion of legal documentation and a medical.

Marin, 24, made just 16 appearances for Chelsea after arriving from Werder Bremen last summer for £7 million, with his first Premier League start not coming until the 1-0 defeat to QPR in January.

The Germany international fell behind Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Oscar and Victor Moses in the pecking order for first-team football. The arrival of Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen looked to stifle his opportunities further.

Sevilla finished ninth in La Liga and have already sold two players to Premier League sides with Jesus Navas joining Manchester City and Luis Alberto transferring to Liverpool.
