Dinamo Zagreb have confirmed that they have agreed the sale of two of the brightest prospects in Croatian football - with Tottenham believed to be their destination.

Zagreb president Mirko Barisic has confirmed the impending double-transfer of central defender Tin Jedvaj and midfielder Alen Halilovic, although he refused to reveal the identity of the club they will go to.

Local media are confident Tottenham, who previously signed Luka Modric from the Croatian side, are the club involved - although Manchester City have been linked with the pair in the past.

Zagreb are set to receive around £17 million for the duo, with one of them remaining with the club to gain more first-team experience.

"We agreed with their future club, that one of them remains at least another year with us," Barisic told Sportske Novosti. "For now we cannot confirm to which club they are going but it is true that they are both leaving.

"It is just too early to talk about the club which bought them. We will confirm that when everything will be sorted out.

"The transfer fee? €20 million (£17.12m) is - let us put it this way - the right number."

Jedvaj, a defender and Croatia Under-19 international, was the subject of a failed £5 million bid from Roma last week while attacking midfielder Halilovic, a full international who has played in the Champions League, is said to have been watched by Real Madrid and Arsenal.

And Barisic believes he is capable of becoming a bigger talent than current Real Madrid playmaker Modric.

He said: "A lot of people have compared him to Luka Modric, but he's better than Luka was at this age.

"Everyone at the club thinks he has even more potential and that he will become one of the best players in the world."
