Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov will see out the remaining year of his Craven Cottage contract, his agent has said.

Berbatov, 32, was the Cottagers' top scorer last season, netting 15 Premier League goals following his move to West London from Manchester United.

The Bulgarian has been linked with a summer move to Russia, and Zenit St Petersburg are believed to have expressed firm interest in a deal.

But Berbatov's agent, Emil Danchev, said the player would be staying put and was happy with life at Craven Cottage.

"He has another one year [on his] contract with Fulham, and he will stay at Fulham until the end of his contract," Danchev was quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.

"He's happy at Fulham and he wants to stay another year. I don't want to comment on other clubs. Even if there is interest, he's happy and he wants to stay. He will play football for at least two more years."

However, Danchez had said a move to Russia could be an appealing possibility for Berbatov at a later stage.

"The Russian League is growing seriously and should soon become one of the leading championships in Europe, so to play in that country would be interesting," he told Izvestia.
