Arsenal set to complete signing of Higuain
Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain could travel to London to complete a £23 million move to Arsenal on Thursday, the Guardian has reported.
The player's father, Jorge, has told Fox Sports Argentina that Madrid have granted permission for talks and a move appears imminent.
"We managed to get permission from Real Madrid to negotiate face to face with Arsenal," he said. "Fortunately, I will soon be able to watch my son play in the Premier League."
He added: "Nothing has been signed yet, but I assure you that the negotiations between the clubs are at an advanced stage."
Higuain, 25, is reportedly set to sign a three-year deal worth £100,000-a-week.
Juventus had also been in the race to sign the Argentina international, but instead secured a deal for compatriot Carlos Tevez, who had been available for a significantly lower fee.
