Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner travelled to Germany on Tuesday for final contract talks with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Bendtner, who spent last season on loan at Juventus, has just one year remaining on his Arsenal contract and is set to move on this summer. Despite Frankfurt recently indicating the Denmark international may be out of their price range, they are still vying with Malaga for his signature.

Last week, Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hubener was in London for negotiations with the Gunners and the Bundesliga side have now released a press statement confirming media reports that Bendtner and his agent, Tom Brookes, have travelled to Germany for final talks.

A club statement on Tuesday read: "Sporting director Bruno Hubener is in close contact with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The final decision in the Bendtner case is to be made within the next two days."

The Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper reported that Bendtner had shown a keen interest and asked to visit the club's training facilities and stadium.
