Carlos Tevez has been told by the Juventus coaching staff that he is overweight and must drop six kilos ahead of next season, according to media reports from Argentina.

Last month, Tevez completed his move from Manchester City to Juventus on a three-year deal, thus ending a seven-year stay in English football to join the reigning Serie A champions.

Juventus reportedly paid City £10 million for the Argentine striker.

Tevez, who scored 34 goals in two seasons at Manchester United 73 during his four seasons at City, is due to report to camp on Wednesday for a series of medical tests, according to Clarin.

The Argentina international is scheduled to make his pre-season debut on July 31 against Everton in San Francisco during Juventus' US tour, which also includes fixtures against LA Galaxy, Real Madrid, Valencia, Chelsea, Inter and Milan.

According to Clarin, Tevez was overweight during his medical last month and was admonished by coach Antonio Conte, who is reported to demand a high level of fitness from his players.
