Arsenal forward Theo Walcott hopes the squad can instill the "fear factor" into the Emirates Stadium for the upcoming Premier League season.

The Gunners suffered an inconsistent campaign last season, falling out of the Champions League to eventual champions Bayern Munich while their domestic form failed to fire.

But a 10-game unbeaten stretch towards the end of the season helped the club to finish inside the top-four and earn another shot at European glory.

And Walcott wants to begin the season with that type of form, believing fortress Emirates could lead to a break in the club's silverware drought.

"It is quite frustrating at times, because we should have done that at the start of the season," Walcott told Sky Sports. "Who knows where we would have been.

"We need to remember those moments that we had and make sure we do it from the start, because we could be challenging for anything. We could beat anyone.

"We want that sort of fear factor, especially at the Emirates."
