Juventus forward Carlos Tevez says he will "run more than in England" in a bid to help the Serie A club to a third straight Scudetto and success in Europe next season.

Speaking from the club's summer training camp in Chatillon, the €9m signing from Manchester City had some music for the ears of all Juve fans, who have taken him to their hearts in an instant.

"I've joined a club who are ready to play for an historic third straight Scudetto, and one who are also capable of challenging for the Champions League," he said.

Tevez drew the loudest cheers from the Juve fans present at the Bianconeri's first public training session this summer. Fellow new arrivals Fernando Llorente and Angelo Ogbonna were also given a warm reception, but it was Tevez who everybody wanted to see, and hear.

"I'm here to work hard," he promised at a press conference. "I realised after half the training session that I will run more here in Italy than in England."

Juve have shown the faith they have vested in him by giving Tevez the number ten shirt previously warn by club legends Alessandro Del Piero and Michel Platini, to name but two.

"That doesn't weight me down," Tevez admitted, vowing to work hard and reciprocate the fans' feelings. "It makes me feel important to receive such affection."

Arturo Vidal also met the journalists in Chatillon and expressed his dedication to the cause in spite of interest from other top European clubs.

"It was an honour to learn about Real Madrid's interest in me, but I am delighted to be at Juventus," he said. "I replied to the Spaniards that I feel at home here. I have no intention of leaving."
