Suarez would consider 'better' offers
Luis Suarez has given further indication of his desire to leave Liverpool, insisting he will listen to any offers that would advance his career and allow him to play at the highest level.
The striker has made no secret of his intention to move after becoming disillusioned with life in the Premier League, following a string of controversial on-field incidents.
Suarez, who is currently serving a ten-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, has given a series of interviews since the end of May declaring that he wants to leave Anfield, although he has not submitted a transfer request.
On Friday, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers revealed he was in constant contact with the Uruguay international, while the club have already turned down a reported offer of £30 million from Arsenal.
The 26-year-old, who previously indicated he would be interested in a move to Real Madrid, believes he has been victimised by the British media, also confirming his desire for Champions League football.
"If I receive an important offer to progress my career, I will study it," Suarez said. "Some clubs have asked about me but I hand questions over to my agent. I am no stranger to rumours.
"I always want to improve. That's why I left Ajax for Liverpool. But this club needs to fight to enter the Champions League and, when it doesn't happen, it damages the morale of any player. So I've suffered.
"It is hard to view the Premier League every week with never a chance of winning it.
"On top of that, the English media do not understand me. The controversies with [Patrice] Evra and [Branislav] Ivanovic were decisive. There are always extra questions when people analyse me.
"After the Evra incident, it was very difficult to convince people about the 'real' Luis Suarez. Things had improved but then the incident involving Ivanovic was another blow.
"Had that not happened, perhaps I would have been regarded as the best Premier League player last season."
